Internet Enabled Mud Logging Systems

Password Protected Internet Access To MLogger
Local Area Network
Telephone Access To MLogger

MLogger mud logging instruments feature a built-in network router and switch, with three local area network (LAN) ports and one wide area network port.  If an Internet connection with a public IP address, such as a satellite Internet connection, exists at the drilling location, interested parties who have been given the IP address and the user names and passwords can log onto MLogger via the Internet.  MLogger allows one "logger" and multiple "observers".  The logger on location, and his client or clients in the city can be logged onto the same system at the same time, monitoring events as they occur.  The "logger" can actually operate the instrument from a remote location, changing settings, editing, and downloading data.  Observers can change scales and download data, but cannot edit the data or change instrument settings.  This feature offers geologists and engineers who are responsible for more than one rig at the same time the opportunity to log onto the MLogger to view, edit, and download data from one project without physically being there.

MLogger also has a telephone modem for situations where phone service (cell phone or land line) is available.  Only one user at a time can access the system by phone.

The network capabilities of MLogger lends itself to setting up a local area network, or in this case a Rig Area Network.  Not only can you give the company man and tool-pusher access to the logging instrument, you can also share an internet connection with them.
