The well site geologist uses MControl to view the logged data in time-based or depth-based format, change gas, chromatograph, and ROP scales. When he knows the rigs' recorder has missed a foot, or generated a false foot, he can edit depth tics in or out to make the log agree with the pipe tally. MControl exports logged data in either LAS or ASCII format, for use in most mud log editors.
