E-mail Print PDF

This article annotates all new features and fixes for the MControl 2.9.7000 series.  This serires includes all the fixes/features of the 2.9.0000 version series.

2.9.7012 (JAN 9th, 2013) RELEASE VERSION

FIXES:

  • Reverted more changes from 2.9.7007 that dealt with allowing MPlot to update while Logger was logged in.  This fixes the issue with depth moving backwards while MControl was open along with MPlot.
  • Corrected acetylene typos.
  • Changed system call for opening .htm files from the help/tools menu.

FEATURES:

  • Fast ROP is now WITS ROP
    • While in this mode, the WITS value (tag 0113) will be used for ROP.  Checking the box automatically tracks 0113 and prevents the user from unselecting the aux track while the box remains checked.

2.9.7007 (JUN 5th, 2013) RELEASE VERSION

FIXES:

  • Allows chromat runs to be integrated with newly defined windows, not just the windows from the previously integrated run.
  • Changes chromat window slider behavior to allow decrementing when clicking to the left of the slider, incrementing when clicking to the right of the slider, and no longer increments when dragging the slider.

2.9.7005 (JAN 8th, 2013) RELEASE VERSION

Fixes:

  • Peak height integration has been fixed so that it properly shows on the display and in the LAS export. [MC-94]

Features:

  • Adds a shortcut to the HSGC FID Transfer Script to the Start Menu.

2.9.7003 (DEC 17th, 2012) RELEASE VERSION

Fixes:

  • Re-enabled the "Enable Remote Lagging" checkbox within Setup>>System  This will allow users to prevent the 0139 tag from being re-broadcasted.

2.9.7002 (DEC 2012) RELEASE VERSION

Fixes:

  • Increased the timeout on FTP file transfer in order to avoid the log file errors.  [MC-91]

Features:

  • Now includes pscp.exe and updated fidtransferv2 script for HSGC mode.  It should now be as easy as double-clicking the fidtransferv2 script to get this working with TMC's Integrator.

2.9.7001 (OCT 2012) RELEASE VERSION

Fixes:

  • Non autointegrated chromat runs will no longer display as having 0 PPMs and will interpolate properly. [MC-90]

2.9.7000 (SEP 2012) RELEASE VERSION

This version was release for ease of operations purposes.  It includes all the 2.9.6000 series changes stated below:

FEATURES:

  • Added "Restore Defaults" button to the Options dialog for chromats.  This will set the PPM thresholds back to the default values.
  • This version is now wrapped back into Advanced Installer and will be able to utilize the Update MControl option under the Help menu for future releases.
  • Added "Use Auto Integration Validation" checkbox to chromat options dialog.  This will turn on and off autochromat validation.
  • Bristol mode has been removed and will no longer be supported.  Older versions of MControl/MLogger will still be available if anyone needs to use this legacy mode.
  • Now uses MLogger for chromat calculations during auto integration.  The user can still edit chromat records and perform normal MControl calculations after the run is completed.
  • Includes the python script in the installer for HSGC mode.  [MC-75]
  • Created tooltips to clarify relationship between Enable WITS Chromat Output checkbox and WITS Rebroadcaster Output Chromat options.
  • Includes options in Setup >> System to import total gas and chromats into MPlot with different unit types (units, percent, or PPMs)
  • Major changes done to WITS output back to the EDR including options to change chromat unit types and whether or not they are normalized.
  • Includes controls for WITS rebroadcaster to change total gas and chromat unit types and whether or not chromats are nomalized.  This outputs a single WITS packet out the opposite COM port based on these options.
  • Added Hole Profile options back into Setup >> Depth/Lag.
  • Lock MLogger Depth to EDR Depth mode added to Depth/Lag tab under Setup menu.
    • This mode will set the current depth equal to the hole depth given by the EDR.  Whenever the EDR hole depth changes (forwards or backwards) the current depth will change with it changing all depths down hole and up hole.
    • While this mode is selected, the user will not be able to edit current depth.
    • This mode cannot be selected while WITS is not connected.
    • If WITS is lost, the user can go back to the setup menu and it will reset back to the default mode by entering a depth and clickng Apply+OK.  Once WITS connection is restored, this mode will be selectable again.
  • Changes the text on export recent data to read "Meters to export:" when in metric mode.
  • Added tooltips for Fast ROP mode and Lock MLogger Depth to EDR Depth mode
  • Carved out 6 bits worth in CTRLDATA.status for different import/export options on total gas and chromat values: units, percent, PPMs (typedefs.h change)
  • Added new colors for "chromat boxes."
    • Orange = Invalidated Auto Integration run.  The run was integrated however certain criteria were not met in order to call it a completely valid run.
    • Green = Valid Auto Integration run.  The run was integrated and the necessary criteria were met in order to validate the run.
  • Added new line of text that indicates whether or not the chromat run was valid.  Hovering over this text will display the variables involved with marking a run as invalid or valid and their values.

FIXES:

  • Clarifies the measurement for Hour Average ROP for status window and Live Data Monitor. [MC-74]
  • LAS Exports will export negative gas values again.  This was supposed to happen by design so that the character of the curve is not lost.
  • C1-C5 values displayed in units while not interpolating or normalizing GC will no longer be normalized.  It will be the raw unit value.
  • Non-lagged up gas wiill now read as the null value (-9999) instead of 0.  [MC-71]
  • c1-c5 values in the LDM will now show up normalized while Normalize GC is checked in Misc tab  (on by default).  Percent is also based off of these values.
  • c1-c5 PPMs are now calculated properly when normalizing in 1% = 50 units mode.  [MC-41]
  • Exporting with different data steps (depth units/tic) will now export the correct range when exporting LAS with recent data or depth range.
  • Clearing records will now turn the chromat box white.
  • Connecting to an MLogger will no longer turn white chromat boxes red.
  • Removed "Default Threshold" field from the Options dialog for chromats.  This was causing confusion and unwanted side effects.
  • MControl no longer creates and/or reads from a physical file to fill in the PPM thresholds.
  • Integrating chromat runs will mark the run with a red box to indicate a manually integrated run.
  • Chromats displayed in percent on the Live Data Monitor will now display the proper values.
  • Checking Fast ROP in the Depth/Lag tab will disable Use EDR Depth and vice versa.
  • Renamed MPLot Data Import Configuration to read MPlot - Auto Import Live Curves  [MC-87]
